Dr. Tara Wyne  
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Tara Wyne was raised & educated in Scotland, United Kingdom and is of Pakistani origin. She has considerable psychotherapeutic experience from both the U.K and Dubai working one to one with individuals, with couples, and also groups across the spectrum of psychological disorders. Dr. Tara Wyne has long held a strong interest in cross cultural approaches. She is particularly aware of the displacement and adjustment issues faced by expatriates.
Dr. Tara Wyne’s specialist clinical expertise lies in trauma work and crisis intervention. She provides psychological assessment and therapy with complex presentations in diverse cultural and religious client groups.

Dr. Tara Wyne attained her education, qualification training in Clinical Psychology and clinical work experience in Glasgow, Scotland.

Dr. Tara Wyne joined the Clinical Psychology Doctoral training program at the University of Glasgow and fully qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2001. Her training is in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches and Psychoanalytic techniques. She has extensive experience with mood, anxiety, eating, personality and trauma disorders, specializing in early life and adult onset trauma and complex mental health problems in adults.

Dr. Tara Wyne worked most recently in two highly specialist trauma teams; with people with a history of childhood sexual abuse or adult onset trauma. She also worked with refugees with a history of persecution, torture & trauma. Alongside clinical work, she was also responsible for clinical consultation and supervision to other psychologists, mental health professionals and carers.

Dr. Tara Wyne has held many positions of responsibility including seven years of regular teaching commitments to Clinical psychology training programs. She teaches on cross cultural issues in Clinical Psychology, trauma disorders and working with sexual abuse and assault. She has also supervised both Clinical Psychology doctoral trainees and newly qualified clinical psychologists.
